Hello, We likely need Joe to confirm about grpc since he was the RM for the last few releases, but I believe that it was probably just a mistake in the build process that caused it to not be excluded.
For the other ones you referenced, those were purposely excluded due to space limitations with the binary artifacts that we publish. It was mentioned in the migration guidance that is created for every release [1]. "We've removed the following nars from the default convenience binary. These include kite-nar, kafka-0-8-nar, flume-nar, media-nar, druid-controller-service-api-nar, druid-nar, other-graph-services-nar. You can still get them from the various artifact repositories and use them in your flows but we cannot bundle them due to space limitations by default."
