Greetings, I cannot find any documentation/recommendation on how to upgrade NiFi and the NiFi Registry in different environments.
Current setup:
- NiFi 1.15.3 in dev, qa and production.
- NiFi Registry 0.8.0 to serve all the NiFi instances above.
Now we plan to move to NiFi 2.0.0 and its corresponding NiFi Registry.
Of course, we do not upgrade everything at once. In fact, in dev, we
will spin up a new instance 2.0.0 and migrate our flows to see how they
handled and start creating new flows on it because, well business
doesn't stop.
So, questions:
- Avoiding new Components and those who disappeared, is it possible to
create a flow in dev 2.0.0 and migrate it to production 1.15.3
- Does the NiFi Registry 0.8.0 is good enough to migrate flows between
2.0.0 and 1.15.3? If not, will NiFi Registry 2.0.0 work with 1.15.3
instances?
