My native language is Spanish, not English, so it should be my mistake. In the release notes [1], the prerequisites it say: "OpenJPA requires Java 1.5 but will not compile with Java 6" and have a link to a patch. I thought that I have to recompile OpenJPA applying this patch to use OpenJPA with Java 6.
