Hi, Which version of OpenJPA are you using? This may be an instance of OPENJPA-732 <http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-732?page=com.atlassian.jira.ext.fisheye:fisheye-issuepanel>if you're cascading a persist back to yourself.
