It seems that both the two downloads
* Labs on a Stick, Version 1.0 (.tar.gz)
* Labs on a Stick, Version 1.0 (.zip)
don't have the python interpreter inside as it is stated on the site
(http://labs.metacarta.com/on-a-stick/)
(modifing "run_windows.bat" to point an already installed Python
everything works fine)
