Hi list, I've developed a simple control for my GIS viewer. It's a status bar in which I set some messages and the mouse position, with some options to change the display projection. It works OK, but the thing is that I want to avoid some controls to work when I'm over the status bar, for example the draggind event is working over the status bar or over the projection change form even though I set a z-index value higher than the rest elements. This happens also with the controls of the control panel. How can I do this?? See attached file.
Another thing I wanted to ask is that I've made this control using my coding style not using OpenLayers coding style, so what would be some guidelines or a 'how to' for developing a control in OpenLayers.
