Try installing and using a command line client. Many of the GUI versions are having a hard time with SVN 1.7.x. It may be related since one of the servers/client machines is being updated to FreeBSD 9 with SVN 1.7.x. I also have problems with Netbeans plugin; so, I've had to drop to the CLI version for now.
