Sorry, but I do not write German.

Sehr geehrter Herr Tesch,

I'm not Herr Tesch; will I do?

As you imply, the problem with a cell containing only an e-mail address is that this will have been automatically converted to a hyperlink, and when you double-click on the cell in order to edit it, the hyperlink will be stimulated and OpenOffice will at least hesitate whilst a new mail message is created. What happens next will depend on what you have registered as your mail client. Perhaps you have none: maybe you use a web interface to your mail.

Was kann ich tun?

Many things:

o If you do not want the addresses to act as hyperlinks, go to Tools | AutoCorrect Options... | Options and remove the tick from URL Recognition - before you enter them.

o If you do not want the addresses to act as hyperlinks but you have already entered them, select the cell - or even a range, such as an entire column - and go to Format | Default Formatting (or Ctrl+M).

o If you need to edit the address in a cell, you can double-click on a part of the cell outside the hyperlink - either additional text or in a blank part of the cell. Expand the column width if necessary to allow this. You cannot edit the address directly, but you can replace it.

o Alternatively, you can remove the hyperlink first, as above, and then edit the original text.

I trust this helps.
