Issues with exporting as microsoft doc after update

Hi,
I have just updated my open office software on my Macbook pro and I am now 
unable to export my files in the Microsoft document format. 
This has not happened before I updated the software. 
Even after I reinstalled the software, trying both versions 4.1.1 and 4.1.0, I 
am still unable to save my files in Microsoft document format.
Please assist as I really enjoyed using your software.
