In addition to the methods that Alexandro suggests, another way to tell whether
you have a registered e-mail client is to right-click on the file in you
Documents folder and see what are the available options for "Send to". If
there is a "Mail recipient" choice, try that. If not, or it says you have to
designate a mail client, then you know.

If you do your e-mail in your browser, and do not or have not set up a Mail
Client on Windows 7 itself (one might be included), you can do it from Google
Mail instead. In your browser e-mail when you are composing a message to send,
see what is available for Adding an Attachment. In Google Mail, that is the
paper-clip symbol at the bottom of the "New Message" Window to the right of the
Blue "Send" button. That will bring up a file folder window. Use that to
navigate to where your file is and select it. It will be added to the message
you are composing as an attachment.

PS: There are e-mail clients that run on the desktop that you can connect to
your Gmail account. There should be one with Windows 7 (although I forget now
if it is already there). It might just be named "Mail." You don't have to
read your mail with it if you don't want to, but you can use it to send mail
anyhow.
