I'm new to the list, having installed Open Office last evening. I was told Open Office would be accessible to Window-Eyes, the screen reader I use. That doesn't seem to be the case for me so far. Is there a set of steps I need to take to activate accessibility? If so, please elaborate.

Instructions for this are at the Window-Eyes web site:
http://www.gwmicro.com/Support/Knowledge_Base/?kbnumber=GWKB2017 .

It says that you may need to reinstall the Java Access Bridge and that you will also need to enable support for assistive technology tools in OpenOffice itself. For this second task, you will unfortunately require sighted assistance.

I trust this helps.
