This appears to be a known bug with version 4.1.1 of OpenOffice. See
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125567 - where there
appears to be no news about any solution. There is a suggestion there
that this problem is not present in version 4.1.0, so you may want to
backtrack to that version. Remove 4.1.1, go back to
www.openoffice.org , select version 4.1.0 from the drop-down menu,
and download and install it.
