The crap you are getting is due to the fact that the pushers of that crap
pay money to the pc manufacturer to put that crap on the pc. Another
obvious reason is that most buyers are unsavvy, and find the title/name
of those crap apps interesting. When such unsavvy users execute that crap,
the crap opens the browser, the crap's web site send malicious javascripts
which the browser runs and thus installs spyware without the user's consent
or knowledge - all done without the user seeing anything about that
activity.
The savvy users go through all that installed crap and delete it, or
simply install Linux or FreeBSD from a security minded distribution.
That said, firefox browser is just as guilty of installing the spyware
via the
javascripts.
In fact , I know of no web browser that prevents such malware.
