Hi,

I need to shrink a section of text, in OpenOffice 4 writer, so it shows
very small but can still be read by the computer. Can you tell me how to
do this (if it can be done)?

Many thanks

Up to a certain point, depending on the font you are using. Highlight the text you want affected and then adjust the point size. To do this, in the tool bar near the top of the window, there is a box with the name of the font (the default is Times New Roman) and next to that is a box with the point size in effect (12 is the default). Click on the arrow to the right of this 12 and select a smaller number. Some fonts can be made smaller than others.

The smallest size you can select is 6 pt, but if you enter in the box 5% it get even smaller.
Even if you zoom to the maximum you can't read it anymore.
