Hi Sam,
    
When  this happens I either close and re-open or if this doesn't work use   " 
file/save as"  and give it a slightly  different name. WAlanhen I am happy that 
all  is well I delete the old file and  "rename" the new one with the original 
name,  if need be.

After I downloaded the new version all my files are in Read Only. Ifollowed all 
the instructions and the Read Only box was not clicked. I am80 and not too tech
