Read Only only

Help please.Please guide me to help to allow my to again edit my own files i 
created.
Old pc crashed and I imported from it to new pc all OO files and Open
Office 4.1.10
Now when I open my created file it says "read only"
Have spent some hours but cannot find how to solve
