I have created a PDF ebook using Open Office1.1.4. I have some problems: Several of my problems concern the fact that the book is Bilingual English Japanese, on alternating pages. One page uses Japanese fonts. Open Office 1.1.4 is very good for Japanese. The next page used Roman fonts. If I put them on the same page, they mess each other up. 1. I have created a cover using an Adobe Photoshop graphics Image. How do I append it to the front of the PDF text file which contains the text to the book. Do not tell me to use Ghostsoft. I tried that. It does not work perhaps because of the Japanese fonts. I do not have Adobe Acrobat and I am not sure is would work either because of the Japanese kanji fonts.
2. I am putting the page numbers as a header. However, I want to put the number of the even numbered pages in the upper left-hand corner and the number of the odd numbered pages in the upper right-hand corner. It seems that there must be a way to do it, but I cannot figure it out. Also, How can I put the title and the author in the header along with the page numbers? 3. I do not want the number 1 printed on the first page. How can I accomplish that? Do not tell me to read the manuel. I tried that. It contains no information about these problems.
