You can do this is the menu Tools, submenu Options, in OpenOffice.org, 
Memory, check the box 'Load OpenOffice.org...'.

OK. I knew that option but don't want my system to launch OO 
automatically. But the little menu is there now and I can uncheck the 
"launch" box.
Anyway, thanks a lot; it works!
