I can only speculate, but.... Usually, the distribution is created, The distribution is propigated to the mirrors, the distribution is announced. The propigation takes a few days. So, if you are routinely checking the mirrors, then you will find a distribution available before it is announced. Of course, if you download it and it has not been announced, then you are not certain that you really want to :-)
For example, what exactly is 680_m71s1? I have not seen one with the s1 before.... Are you feeling daring?
Yes. Yes I am. I *really* need to get something going on our sales system. These guys haven't had *any* office package before, so it doesn't matter if it's a bit crashy - there's nothing that's mission-critical that they'll be doing. But I need:
- the new database module support for the connection setup - I'm talking to MySQL via StarBasic
- some fixes that went in after m69 - mainly selecting a default dictionary - it causes us no end of trouble when people create documents with the wrong language set
The usual advice is to wait until the release is announced.
Noted :)
It didn't occur to me I could chop the final portion ( eg 680_m69 ) off the mirror's URL to get a directory listing - I guess I thought they wouldn't allow directory listings. Anyway, I found it :)
