Hello,
I use OO Writer and Draw to produce scientific documents with figures and equations. My goal is to export them in xhtml format. I'm facing many difficulties.
1. When I insert a png figure (created with Draw) and add a caption, a frame with dimensions corresponding to figure is created and all is ok. But if I want to change the link to point toward a new png graphic with different dimensions, frame dimensions are not changed accordingly, leading to a distorded output. Is there any way to dynamically "link" frame dimensions to those of the embedded graphic ?
Select the frame and right click on it. Select Frame... from the context menu. Check the auto size box. See if that works.
2. It will be useful to have a listing of all the links to graphics contained in a document. I don't find such information in Statistics. I guess we can obtain it with xml post processing but is there a more direct way ?
See if the navigator can help. Press *F5*.
3. xhtml export need post processing of the file created ( <head>...</head>) must be modified. Am I right ?
4. is exporting MathML equations and Draw drawings to png figures the best OO practice?
You can make equation right in OOo go to Insert > Object > Formula.
.png or .jpg works fine.
