Can install over my older Version of Open Office, or must I uninstall my old Open Office 1.1.4. before installing 2.0 beta??

You can easily run 2, 3, 4, or more version of OOo alongside each other without incident.
OOo 2 & OOo 1.1.4 are very different and you cannot just upgrade to 2.0 by overwriting 1.1.4, they will install in different directories and co-exist harmoniously.
