I haven't heard of any problems running the two versions side-by-side, but
as for 2.0 itself, you may want to just run through the unresolved bugs
listed on the website to see if there is anything there that would prevent
you from using 2.0.

Both you and Maarten van der Velde say 2.0 is a little
buggy. I can live with some bugs and would be willing
to report a new bug if I found one.
My "fear" is that I might loose or corrupt a file as
happened when I tried a pre-beta versions of 2.0. Can
I use both 1.1.4 and 2.0 with WindowsXP and only have
some "minor" bugs show up such as invisible bullets?
