i will presume you are using a windows operating system.
first off, you need to find the file. it's called something like OOo1.1.4_WinIntel_install.exe (or .zip). go to Start - Find files and folders.. and try looking for files containing 'OOo'
when you find it, you can either:
a) unzip it (if it has a .zip extension) into a different folder, go to this folder and double-click soffice.exe.
b) double-click it (if it is an .exe file). this should run the installation program directly.
