Beta software is not for everyday use as you probaby already know.
OOo2 has some very nice features that will be great once it is
debugged. Reccomend using OOo114 for any work that is important.
Recommend not using the export to OOo1 files funtions in the OOo2
beta. I know it is broken for Impress; maybe also for Calc?

I've had serious problems when writing back to .s?x formats from
beta2s in Impress. These problems have been reported and are being
fixed.

One aid to recovery is to rename the *.sxw or *.odt (or whatever) by
adding .zip and then open with an unzip utility. Copy out the
content.xml. This is the store for all your user entered data and
may help in joggin your memory, although it is rather crytic to read.
It is just text and possible to wade through. Helps to use and
editor that highlights the tags and other stuff to help distinguish.
You can sometimes cut'n'paste the parts of text and maybe some
formulas, with luck.

Richard.
