Hello there,

Many thanks for your reply and interest. I run WinXP SP2 fully updated incidentally, but I suppose inspired by your statement that they should open, I checked the file type setting which I had shown as 'Word' (which hitherto I thought was OK). I changed this to 'Wordpad' and, much to my surprise it worked!
Thanks again.
John B.

As a new subscriber to Open Office, I have opted for digest lists. I am sure somebody among you experienced users will tell this new boy (80 year old) how to read these numbered .ezm files, as I cant get them to open.
Dont seem to be able to get a reply from Open Office admin.

I am guessing that you use Outlook Express or Outlook to read your mail. The digest is a collection of mime delimited messages that should just open. Perhaps if you tell us which version of Windows you use, the volunteers who use Windows may be able to help. For example, you have XP with SP2. -- PLEASE KEEP MESSAGES ON THE LIST.
