Is it that the macros don't work, or that the key assignments that you made are not saved with the file? In your original post you stated that when you opened the template that had been saved to a floppy, there were no macros. If you browse to that file using the macro organizer, are the macros there? If so, the problem is only the key assignments. When you assign keys, they're stored in your program settings, not in any particular file. Maybe you want to add buttons to the template to run the macros. They will transport ok.

I'm missing the boat here. I don't get it.
Open the saved template. Click on: Tools, Macros, Organize Macros, OpenOffice.org Basic Macros opens a box titled OpenOffice.org Basic Macros. There is the template *.stw. Double click on *.stw, Standard, Module 1 and all eleven macros are there.
So, I do not understand what you mean by;
Open the template and use the macro organizer to copy the macros to the template document.
I don't see where I can move the macros anywhere. This box will allow me to assign the macros to keys such as (ctrl+*) etc. etc. But after *.stw is saved and opened again the macros do not work.
