Hi, whomever sees this query:
Since changing to digest form, I haven't been able to find the correct
address to send my posts to, so I am hoping someone can help me with that.
This was my question;

I'm not sure where to send questions or
posts. I sent this to <[email protected]>
Monday, April 04, 2005 4:32 PM and got a response with all kinds of
other places to send but it was confusing how to post to digest list.
My question I hoped to get to the list is:

I have had 6 or 7 failures with opening up my OO.o 1.1.4 docs or trying to
open a WORD 2000 with OO.o 1.1.4.....
Tried to open a WORD 2000 attachment and convert it to OO.o1.1.4
and up came the error report. Today I am getting these most of the time I'm
attempting to use OO.o 1.1.4, first with a previously created and saved
open office file (which had a lot of saved data from websites). Two times I
tried opening a created WORD 2000 doc and the error report came up (always
this is followed by shutting down the file). A couple times the openoffice
file just froze while I was attempting to add something to it.

I had some of this problem earlier when I first installed OO.o 1.1.4, but
then a long period of having it work fine opening WORD 2000 documents. In
fact, I was just about to uninstall WORD 2000 because I have duplicate files
(about 45) with OO.o 1.1.4.
I was not sure if open office would read WORD docs I received from
attachments and also I didn't want to risk losing the data in my old WORD
docs. Now that OO.o 1.1.4 is not opening some of my document files, I'm
wondering if it is trustworth.
I would appreciate any advice if someone can understand my dilemma.

                  Thank you,
                 Joan A

then make a more informed decision on whether to have
another try at OOo.1.1.4, or wait until OOo2 comes out. I
