I am new to OOo and find that opening Base generates an error report
saying "A JRE is needed to perform this task." After clicking OK several
times (7 or 8) it opens the calc spreadsheet. Although I have
established an OBCD data source and can transfer an Access database, I
still believe I should install the JRE. Which Java install do I need and
how do I obtain it? I did find a Java folder in the Windows directory
but don't know what it is.
I am using WXP and hope can point me to the answer or provide one. Thank
you all.
