[users] Powerpoint

I have seen that OpenOffice is compatiable with Microsoft Powerpoint.  So 
does that mean I can do a Presentation in OpenOffice and open it up in 
Microsoft Powerpoint or does that not work?  Should I save it a certain way 
or format.  This is my first time using OpenOffice since I didn't feel like 
paying a bunch of money for Microsoft office applications.  I am currently 
using Windows XP.
