Hi Paul, No problem. Here's what you need to do:
Right-click the tool bar area and choose 'configure'.
Select the 'keyboard' tab on the configuration dialogue.
At the top right, check that 'Calc' is selected.
In the 'shortcut keys' pane, pick a key to assign to the macro.
In the 'category' pane select and open (with the plus sign) either 'OpenOffice.org Basic macros' or your file's macros and select the module that contains the macro you want.
In the 'function' pane select the macro.
Click 'modify'.
Click 'OK'

With the exception of right clicking the toolbar, which no longer works here (have to used the drop down toolbar menu or the Tools/Customize menu), this is exactly what I did before without success. Of course, now it worked perfectly. :)
