Hello all.

My name is Kris Kerwin, and I am a college student studying chemistry.

Currently, I use OOo v 1.9.95 (on Linux, with KDE) to write up lab reports and other such documents. One of the tasks that I have to perform while writing up lab reports is a small amount of graphical analysis of my data in Calc: inserting a trendline, finding the equation (slope and y-intercept) of that trendline, and finding the value for R^2.

I have instructions to do all of this in MSOffice, but since I run Linux, I don't have access to MSOffice. Would someone be able to help provide me with some hints as to where these operations might be, if they are present in OOo; or at least, how to come up with the same values manually?

Thanks so much for your help!

Kris Kerwin
