I recently began to use the OOo bibliography database for writing scientific documents. Now I have the problem that I can copy the corresponding .sxw file to another computer easily but (of course) I am unable to edit and expand the bibliography database at this second computer.
The bibliographic project for OOo is working in this very problem. Their goal is to put the required portion of the database (the records actually cited in text) into the .sxw (or .odt) file format.
Meanwhile, I wonder if it is not possible to open the bibliographic database with OOo Base, package it properly and unpackage in the destination computer. At least this may result more user friendly. Most windows users do not know (nor have to) where the files are in their hardisk. I have to test this myself.
