One thing that I know is : "Germany neu-ortho." is the dictionary that applies the new othographic regulations (since 1996 !). If you want to write German, this is the right dictionary. If you want to find words in older texts, the first one should be adequate. I suppose that the third combines both of them (all possible forms of the words, ald and new). Maybe someone else gives you a more precise information.

Herbert Eppel a crit :

Before I download and install one of the German dictionaries, does
anyone know where to find a description of the differences between
"Germany", "Germany-neu ortho." and "Germany-comb ortho."?

I dare say it relates to the "Rechtschreibreform-Fiasko" and I probably
want "Germany-comb ortho.", but it would be useful for me to know
exactly what's what.

Many thanks.
