You won't have to delete 1.1.4 to install a newer version. It is
recommended however that you install any new version in a separate
folder and don't utilise the upgrade option. It makes it cleaner and
stops some of the potential issues.

May 2005 : OOo 2.0 changes will be done on separated branch, the trunk
(HEAD) will then be used for the next OOo major (3.0 ?) release.

June 2005 : OOo 2.0
Q3 2005: OOo 2.0.1
