It's great that you are trying to resolve this yourself! I'm sorry that
it's not working out.

A thought occurred to me... you don't say which version of OO you are
using. If you are using anything before about 1.1.3, there are some
annoying glitches which were later fixed. The latest (stable) version is
1.1.4

 On the menu options, menus are context sensitive. For example if
there is nothing selected to copy, the copy icons will be greyed out
until you select some text or an object. That would be why you can't
always see all the options.

Two things to check:

1. On the "Print" menu what size paper is selected?

2. Right click on your document and slect the Page option, and then the
Page tab in the dialog box that comes up. Is the paper size specified
there what you are expecting?

This is odd. It may be that your installation is damaged. Try running
the setup program again and choose the "Repair installation" option.

RE the knowledge base, I've never used it. I prefer the built-in help,
playing around with options and gleaning knowledge from the users
mailing list.
