     I just tried in the Linux version (1.9.100). By selection View > 
Toolbars > Drawing, I was able to draw a line in both Calc 
(spreadsheet) and Writer. The Drawing Toolbar appeared at the bottom of 
the OOo window.
     Remember, many of the toolbars in the Beta versions are only 
available by clicking on View > Toolbars.
