I checked, for Windows, Word 2 came out in 1991. Trust me, if OOo works with MS Office 2003, it will work with "Word 2."

Excuse me, what is Word 2?

I am happy to use Open Office, since I welcome alternatives to Microsoft.
There is one big lack though, from my point of view. I have very many documents in WORD 2 format. Because of that and since I have a paid license for WinWord 2 and I want to be legal, and because it generates small files, I still quite often use it.
So my disappointment is that Open Office does not support import from and export to WORD 2 format.
What's your response to that?
