Still, there seems to be no bad news coming from the NeoOffice/J front as far as 10.4 is concerned and reading the Tiger related posts on the OOo lists it looks like it is safe to use it.
My parents just got a new Mac Mini running OSX Tiger. I installed NeoOffice/J on it, and it seems to be working fine.
