[users] gnucash w/calc

Is anyone aware of whether it's possible to integrate calc w/gnucash  
or any other "simple" bookkeeping program. What I want to be able to  
do is set up a calc to use gnucash (mysql?) in order to import  
certain data into a prepared sheet, which sheet would also have  
functions for calculating totals.
