Have you uninstalled 1.1.3?? Are they in the same directory or different??
If you have both installed it could be causing a conflict or 1.1.3 could be
set as default. Open a 1.1.4 document and click on tools, then options or
configure and make sure it's set to be the default program for opening
documents. If this doesn't work then maybe someone else has a little more
info to help you out.

Thanks

Gnome or KDE or ...?
In Gnome, right-click on a document of the type that you want to
configure, choose properties, and go to the "Open With" tab. You can
set a default app for that kind of file there.
I don't know how to do it in the other dekstops.
