I wish to print selections from different sheets [in Calc] on one page for comparison purposes. Can it be done?

As has already been suggested, you can copy or link the parts you require into a Writer document. But you can also do this within the Calc document itself, of course. Copy the material and paste it in suitably close positions - probably on a new sheet of the spreadsheet. If you wish to do this once, a simple paste would probably suffice. If you wish to be able to print again after you have made changes, it would be sensible instead to paste as a link - so that the copy changes when the originals do. To do this, use your old friend Paste Special (Edit | Paste Special... or right-click | Paste Special... or Ctrl+Shift+V) instead of the normal Paste. In the Paste Special dialogue, tick Link under Options.

Once you have done this, you can print just the new sheet that you have created or define a print range to include it. Again, for production use, you could either delete the new sheet if you no longer needed it, or else define print ranges on other sheets to exclude the new sheet. Or the crude way would be just to select the sheets you require when you print.

I trust this helps.
