I have not been able to find out how to do this. Maybe I can't. I use charts of economic series where the top panel is some index, like the S&P 500 and the bottom panel is a related index. like yield. The overall chart is usually produced in landscape mode and the top panel may be 5" or so high and the bottom about 2" with the months below the bottom panel. I am trying to do this on a Mac, if that matters.
