If you can open the document, you can export it as PDF. Give it a try
and see what happens.
Or you can use a 'pdf printer' - I'm using pdfcreator, which is also
free. This provides the flexibility of OOo's print system, such as
booklet printing; it also allows pdfs to be created from any other
program that can print (such as Word itself).
