What difference does it make if their money is "loose" or "tight"?
Maybe the 5000 people they are laying off can not spell correctly. One extremely good thing about this economy is that people with little or no skills are finding themselves out of work and so hopefully people will go to school and learn a skill instead of dropping out. Once the U.S. gets rid of all the illegal aliens, there will be 3 jobs for every person and the problem will be instantly solved. Of course, when the people in charge think that the way out of bankruptcy is massive spending, we can't expect them to make any other decisions properly either. Microsoft did not "lose" any money. They have a net profit, not a loss. No sympathy here.
