OK, that's a more understandable problem, which usually occurs because
the unsubscribe confirmation message is being interpreted as spam and
either is not passed to you, or is being sent but sequestered in a junk
folder. If you check and that's not happening, another possibility is
that something is causing your request to be seen by the unsubscribe
process as coming from a different address. In that case, there's
another form of the unsubscribe you can try:
[email protected]
(I'd send that myself, but I've been told that might not be legal, so....)
Again, that account should get an unsubscribe confirmation message.

Let's make sure we have the whole story here.
* You sent a message from [email protected] to users-unsubscribe
@ openoffice.org (note the plural s on users -- that's not what
your initial message had).
Yes I send an email to [email protected]
* You got an unsubscribe confirmation message at
[email protected] and responded according to its instructions.
I never received a confirmation, therefor I couldn't response
* The account is still subscribed, as evidenced by this message.
If that's all correct, there's something definitely broken here. I
don't think anybody else has reported getting and responding to the
unsubscribe confirmation message without being successfully
unsubscribed. In theory, though, there should be a human being you
can talk by emailing [email protected]. Or perhaps one of
the list moderators will see this and help. Does somebody else on the
list know how to get their attention without doing something drastic?

I tired to unsubscribe from this mail list for several days now
by using the "user-unsubscribe" e-mail added on the bottom of
most e-mails. It is not working. Please let me know what to do.
Thanks
Did you reply to the confirmation email?

Are you sure you are sending the request and the confirmation from
the subscribed address? You can't unsubscribe address X by sending
the request from address Y.
