The latest NeoOffice version 3.0 has just been released. This version
will run on version 10.4 or newer of the Mac OS (so Barry would not be
able to use this version unless he upgraded his OS). NeoOffice 3.0
includes nearly all of the features in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1...

The previous version 2.2.5 of NeoOffice does run very well on a Mac
running OS 10.3.9 - X11 is not required for NeoOffice and vers. 2.2.5 is
a more up-to-date port of OpenOffice.org for Mac OS 10.3.9 than version
2.1 of the X11 OpenOffice.org

See: <http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/olddownload.php#download>

[Tip] The user must also ensure that the latest patches for Java that
can run on 10.3.9 are installed via Apple updates.
