do you have any add-on extensions?
do you want to save your user information?
I just installed 3.1 over top of 3.0.1.
The only thing that needs to be changed
is the shortcuts on the desktop. My old
made ones needed to be re-created. But you
will get a generic desktop shortcut when you
install.
So you choose. Do you want to re-add all
of your add-on extensions and user profiles,
or just keep them there. I would just keep
them and install 3.1 over the 3.0 version.
Now if you go from 2.x to 3.1, that may not
be the best thing to do. When we go from 3.9
to 4.0 then I will do a uninstall/install.
