The first thing I thought of is to pass the Writer file on a USB key on which is also installed the portable version (www.portableapps.com) of OOo complete with your customised dictionary. Your colleagues would need to run this version of OOo instead of their own version. A Windows-only solution/kludge though. Then I thought that if all your users are using OOo 3.x you could create an extension containing your words and pass that with the file. Your colleagues would need to install the extension themselves. And then I thought that you might be better of looking at http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/ and possibly even subscribing to and then asking in the Language folks' own mail list. That link will also help you with creating a dictionary extension. I also found a macro that will add words from a text file: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=7589 so you could pass the macro and a suitable text file ... Your colleagues would need to install the macro and then run it. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
