Hi Linda, I'm afraid I may have confused you with the page numbering thing by inadvertently referring to a "Help" file that wasn't quite what you wanted. To do what you originally asked, you do this: 1. Right click on any page 2. Select "Page" from the menu, then on the box select the tab that says "Footer" 3. Tick the box that says "Footer on", then OK 4. Click on the footer on a page. 5. Select "Insert"- "Fields"- "Page Number" You should now see a page number on each page. I think in another mail you said something about your husband seeing only the words "PageNumber" in grey on a Ubuntu computer. I think there may be some problems with the Ubuntu implementation of Open Office.
