I have evaluated using the ooolatex extension in OOo for Latex
support, but have dismissed it on these grounds:
1) Another dependency, with dependencies.
2) Portability of documents, specifically the ability of OOo users on
different operating systems to edit documents in collaboration.
3) Problems reported with PDF output on the ooolatex Help forum.

Therefore, I have decided to stick with the built-in OOo Equation
Editor and it's proprietary format. However, I need a way to convert
between the formats for existing formulae. Googling "open office math
latex conversion" did not find a suitable tool for converting small
formulae, only complete documents. Does anyone know of a tool that we
could use?

Thanks in advance.
